OUR MISSIONThe MISSION of the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) is to make a positive difference in the lives of veterans, through effective professional small business development, support, creation and retention of veteran-owned and controlled business activities on Guam and in Region IX.
OUR VISIONThe VISION of the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) is to be the catalyst for veterans to achieve their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competent, and successful small business owners.
OUR PROGRAMThe program is a community-based project funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration through a grant to serve as a clearinghouse of business and technical assistance for those veterans interested in starting or expanding a business – and through collaborative efforts and partnerships with the University of Guam Small Business Development Center and the Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center, we are able to assist individuals through each phase of the business cycle. The program is hosted by the University of Guam, School of Business and Public Administration, and partnered with the Guam Economic Development Authority (GEDA), our office is co-located in the GEDA office on the 5th floor of the ITC building in Tamuning. OUR REGION IX COVERAGE:The Guam Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) and the California VBOC – A division of Vietnam Veterans of California, Inc., provides services in the following states and locations in Region IX: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas (CNMI), the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), the Republic of Palau (ROP) and the Republic of the Marshal Islands (RMI).
OUR REQUIREMENTSBefore we can provide assistance, the U.S. Small Business Administration requires all clients to complete the Request for Counseling (Form 641). This form will act as our Confidentiality and Code of Conduct Agreements. All client information is held in strict confidence. This request for counseling is FREE and CONFIDENTIAL!
